The Councillor for Infrastructure, José Alberto Tomé, the President of the Nerja Communities, Alfons Mettel, and technician Antonio Dorado have been out and about visiting various sewage plants in the area.
Pity they didn’t start building one. The plants visited were in Mijas and Arroyo de la Miel. The one in Arroyo de la Miel is of the ‘closed’ variety, the type favoured by Nerja as it has the least disruption, through unwanted odours, on the neighbourhood. The one in Mijas is the ‘open’ variety and the smells tend to reach the populated areas.
The purpose of the visit was to justify Nerja’s choice of a ‘closed’ system as is used in Arroyo de la Miel. More visists to various plants are planned as the Nerja project progresses.
Why?
