The research bureau of the environmental group Gena-Ecologistas en Acción has lodged an objection to the building of a warehouse near the Albenda stream in Rincón de la Victoria.
The environmental group claim that the land, mountainous and with steep slopes, is not only unsuitable for such a project but is also classified as non-urbanisable and is protected. The group are asking that such projects be carried out on land where the soil is more suitable and will not have a negative environmental impact.
The Council approved the warehouse project in 2005.
