The Euribor, the main indicator for calculating mortgages, closed for November at 1.231%, the lowest on record.
The Euribor has fallen for the ninth consecutive month, each month being a new record low. In November 2008, it stood at 4.350%.
This all means that anyone who took on an average mortgage last December with a review after one year will find themselves better off by €240 per month or €2,880 per year.
