Tomorrow, Sunday December 6th, is the Fiesta de la Zanahoria Morá in the town of Cuevas Bajas and around 5,000 people are expected to attend.
The fiesta is in its fifth year. The celebrations begin at 11:00 on Sunday and in addition to sampling a variety of local specialities there will be a number of musical performances, both singing and dancing, and various attractions for the younger members of the family.
Carrots contain vitamins A, B, B3 and E as well as minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iodine, phosphorus and calcium, all of which are beneficial to the human body.
