Two people, one of them a Local Police officer, were injured following a fire at a house in the San Julián-Guadalmar area of Málaga.
The fire, in calle Decano Fernández Mesa, was first reported at 06:30 on Saturday morning. The fire was extinguished without having to evacuate people from their homes.
A 24 year old man suffered third-degree burns, particularly to his face, and was transferred to hospital for treatment. A Local Police officer, one of the first on the scene, suffered smoke inhalation. He was treated at the Hospital Clínico Universitario and later discharged.
