A fire early this morning in Montefrío, Granada province, has resulted in five people being injured.
The fire started at 04:00 this morning at a house in Calle Nueva. The Fire Brigade in Loja were notified of the incident but their services were not required as the local residents managed to extinguish the fire.
However, five people were injured. Three of the injured were treated at the scene but two, an 18 year old and a 62 year old, needed hospital treatment and were transferred to the San Cecilio hospital in Granada.
