Today is the official inauguration of the final section of the A-45 connecting Málaga with Córdoba which should cut the travelling time between the two cities to one hour and fifteen minutes and also be a much safer route than the old N-331.
The Ministry of Development has invested €400 million in the project which has included the construction of a new viaduct and the renovation of an old viaduct over the Rio Genil on the Encinas Reales-Benamejí stretch of the road. There also links to Cuevas Bajas and Cuevas de San Marcos.
