Firefighters rescued two people from the roof of their home in Láchar, Granada, after they became stranded by flood waters.
The incident took place this morning. One of the people had to treated for an anxiety attack.
Elsewhere, firefighters have been called out to rescue a number of people trapped their vehicles by floods. In Pinos Puente, two women and two minors needed rescuing after their car rolled and was washed away by the water. No-one was injured in the incident.
Water accumulating in pools, especially on the roads, have caused hundreds of call-outs fr the Emergency Services. In addition, there have been several incidents as a result of high winds. Landslides, falling cables and trees, falling tiles and in one case, a falling Christmas decoration, have kept the authorities busy over the holiday period.
