The Sierra Nevada ski resort opened again yesterday after being forced to close for five days last week, Monday to Thursday and Saturday, due to high winds.
There are about 12 kilometres of skiable pistes, an area of 63 hectares, and more could be opened in the next day or two if conditions permit. The snow cannons have been busy making new snow for the past few days.
The chairlifts Veleta, Emile Allais, Sabika and Parador are operating and the outlook is currently good, the winds having died down.
