The Junta de Andalucia intends to meet with the Ministry of Health to discuss the issue of ‘adapted smoking areas’ before the amendment to the tobacco laws comes into effect.
The new amendment to the law will see smoking banned in all entertainment venues including bars, restaurants and hotels.
The Junta is keen for those establishments who specifically adapted their premises, often at great cost, to comply with the current law to not be included in, or affected by, the new provision.
The matter will be brought up at the Inter-Territorial Council meeting.
