Security Forces blow up suspicious package at Barajas airport

State Security Forces have carried out a controlled detonation of a suspicious rucksack left in the parking area of T4 at Madrid’s Barajas airport.

At 13:00, after the discovery of the suspicious item, the area was cordoned off and the detonation was carried out.

A later analysis of the remains of the rucksack showed that it did not actually contain any explosives. Better safe than sorry.
