The Councillor for Consumer Affairs, Andrés Márquez, has sent a letter to the Secretary of State for Telecommunications to request that checks be carried out to ensure that TDT television signals reach every home in Nerja.
There are currently areas of Nerja where the TDT signal is poor or even non-existant. The Councillor further requested that the shutting down of the analogue signal be delayed if reception in all homes is not satisfactory.
Meanwhile, the Council has been handing out free TDT receivers to those groups deemed at risk from exclusion following the changeover, mostly the elderly in the community.
