The Judicial Police and Guardia Civil in Sevilla are investigating the deaths of two people on Saturday evening, thought at this stage to be the result of carbon monoxide poisoning.
The Guardia Civil were called to a home in urbanisation Las Perdigueras in Utrera at 21:30 on Saturday evening where they discovered two bodies, those of a 56 year old man from Sevilla and a woman of Bolivian nationality from Montequinto.
The body of the man was found on the porch, the body of the woman was discovered inside the building. Early indications are that the couple died from carbon monoxide poisoning from a poorly ventilated charcoal burner.
An autopsy is being carried out to ascertain the exact cause of death.
