Calle Jaén, the road markings freshly painted, is now open once more to traffic. It is also now a one way street from avenida Castilla Perez to calle Chaparil.
The overhaul of calle Jaén cost €85,000 and was financed by the Council and local businesses. There are still one or two things which remain to be finished off, such as the small garden areas, but it is open again and only one month behind schedule.
The underground rubbish containers are not yet in use, they still have their wrappers on, and hopefully it will not be the same situation as occurred in Plaza Tutti Frutti where the bins remained covered for nearly two years.
There is parking on the street in special bays, including two clearly marked for the disabled, but a lot less than before, of course.
