The Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, has voiced his approval of comments made yesterday by the president of Partido Popular in Andalucía, Javier Arenas, regarding the unlocking of future projects for Nerja when he becomes head of the Junta de Andalucia.
When, or even if, Javier Arenas becomes leader in Andalucia, a matter entirely dependent upon the voters in the region, he is promising a rail link (not tram) to Nerja, a commitment towards integrated sanitation (i.e. a sewage works for Nerja) and an intention to amend the LOUA to allow for a golf course to be build in La Coladilla.
None of which actually affect the current situation and anyway, we all know what political election promises mean once a party gets into power!
What man would like to know is why certain projects, such as a much needed water treatment plant, were blocked in the first place.
