Farmers and ranchers in Antequera and Ronda yesterday received a gift from the Junta de Andalucia and the agricultural cooperative Asaja Málaga, 14,500 native plants from the Ministry of Environment nurseries.
A total of 28 individuals in the two areas have, upon request, benefited from the gift. The idea is to repopulate certain areas with native plants, including hedges and trees, and is part of the initiative ‘De setos y sotos’ – Hedges and Thickets.
On Friday, a further 10,000 plants will be distributed to 26 individuals throughout the rest of Málaga province.
