Until now, tractors with a non-factory standard cabin and non-approved anti-roll bars have not been able to obtain an ITV (vehicle inspection) certificate, leaving the owners open to prosecution. This situation has now changed.
People who bought tractors without a cabin as an integral part of the structure of the vehicle, about 25% of the 300,000 tractor owners in Andalucia, were not able to obtain an ITV if they themselves added a cabin or anti-roll bars. Only factory-standard cabins and roll bars were approved.
Now, providing the addition to the tractor meets the recognised safety standards relating to roll bars, windows and connections to the main chassis, these vehicles will be able to obtain an ITV.
