Businesses in Nerja continue to come and go on a regular basis, hardly surprising under the present economic crisis.
In calle El Barrio, the former Andalucia Soap Company which then, for a short while, became Olíbano, has now closed after having a final clearance sale.
A couple of doors down, the former dental practice has gone and the premises are now home to the Locutorio El Barrio. After several internet cafes/locutorios fell by the wayside, new ones are now springing up here and there.
Still in calle El Barrio, the clothes/embroidery shop Evytuka has gone.
At the bottom end of calle Pintada, there is now a shop selling fine glassware products. The building, next to Cosmic Art, was very quickly gutted and refurbished.
On calle San Miguel, the Moroccan bazaar occupying the old Rogelio shop opposite the Guardia Civil station has gone. It did last quite a while.
Bar El 7 up by the bus station is now up for sale if anyone is interested.
Unfortunately, more noticeable departures than arrivals on this occasion.
