Workers of the bus company Cojetusa in Jerez are set to strike throughout this week with only a minimum service of one bus per route being maintained.
The employees are fed up with payment of their wages being delayed, something they claim has been happening for over a year now. The workers say the situation has become untenable.
Talks to avert a strike have failed and the Junta de Andalucia has insisted upon a minimum service which is one bus on each of the twenty routes in Jerez. Passengers can expect major disruption as a result of the strike action.
The bus company hopes to keep the public aware of the revised frequencies, two examples of which are Line 13 (Álcazar-Blas Infante-Asisa) which will now be every 25 minutes and Line 19 (Nueva Jarilla-Guadalcacín-Las Angustias) which will be every 90 minutes.
