The death toll as a result of the fire at a residential home for the elderly in Sevilla has risen to seven after one of those seriously injured in the blaze died last night in hospital.
Today is the first of three days of official mourning for the victims of the fire, which was the worst incident at a residential home for a decade.
The seven who died were all aged between 65 years and 97 years and the funerals are expected to take place today.
The cause of the blaze has been confirmed as a short circuit in the electrical system. Four people remain in hospital, two of them in serious condition.
