The sales of houses during 2009 fell by 24.9% compared to 2008, the total number of transactions being 414,811.
The sale of new homes fell by 20.6% and the sale of used properties fell by 29.1%. The fall during 2009 was less than that experienced during 2008 when the figure was 28.6%.
The fall in the sales of homes has slowed down slightly during the past few months. In Andalucia, the fall in sales for 2009 was 27.6%, the total number of transactions being 86,916.
