Granada and Jaén provinces are on ‘orange alert’ for snow and the rest of Andalucia is on ‘yellow alert’ for snow and rain.
The sharp drop in temperatures has increased the risk of snow in many parts of the region with up to 20 centimetres of snow expected in Granada and Jaén. Snow has already fallen in the Higuera de la Sierra, Aracena, Huelva, and various municipalities in the Sierra Norte in Sevilla.
Up to 20 centimetres is expected in the Alpujarras in Granada province and in Guadix and Baza, up to 4 centimetres of the white stuff is expected.
