The Council has approved the criteria for awarding the contract to renovate the Eagle Aquaduct, a project set to cost €792,643.27 and take 12 months (rofl).
The project is being financed under the Plan for Sustainable Tourism in the Axarquia with the Ministry of Tourism contributing 70% of the cost, the Council the other 30%. At the same time, the Council is attempting to persuade the Ministry of Culture to share the 30% municipal cost.
The potential bidders for the contract will earn points for various aspects, such as:
30 points are available based upon previous experience of similar work carried out on cultural or historical projects valued at €300,000 or more.
15 points are available based upon the level of awareness of the tendering company, the optimisation of work and the project analysis report.
10 points are available based upon the dedication and expertise of the head of the company.
10 points are available based upon quality control, environmental risk and worker safety measures in operation.
5 points are available based upon the ability of the tenderer to employ new manpower, preferably unemployed workers.
