Nine people have been arrested in Jaén province in connection with drug trafficking, all members of a family clan known as ‘Los Mallarines’.
Raids were carried out in the Cerro de Linares district, well known as one of the main drugs areas in Jaén. Cocaine, heroin, jewellery, ammunition and ancient coins, believed to have been stolen, were seized during the raids.
Eight of the detainees have been remanded in custody and one has been released on bail.
