The imminent overflow of the rio Guadalquivir in Sevilla has resulted in 50 families in Lora del Río being evacuated from their homes as a precautionary measure.
The Town Hall and the Protección Civil are busy trying to protect the properties as the river continues to rise. In Alcalá del Río, around 30 metres of riverbank has been swallowed up by the swelling river and homes are also being evacuated in this area.
In Ecija, the front of a house collapsed as a result of storm damage but, fortunately, there were no injuries.
Seven roads are currently blocked in Sevilla province due to flooding. Further rain is forecast throughout Andalucia.
