The Councillor for Sports, Andrés Márquez, is to once again to ask the Málaga Provincial Council to provide defibrillators after a previous request appears to have been ignored.
Municipalities of over 20,000 people, of which Nerja is one, are able to apply for the supply of defibrillators for various sports facilities and the Councillor states that he did so back in April. He was then surprised to read in the press that the defibrillators had been delivered to other municipalities but not to Nerja.
The Councillor noted that, curiously, those municipalities of over 20,000 residents who received the equipment were of the ‘same political colour’ as the Provincial Council.
Nerja Council does already have some defibrillators for various sports centres but would like more.
