Storms throughout Spain yesterday claimed the lives of three people and left up to 135,000 families without power.
Strong winds, gusting up to 228 kilometres per hour, lashed parts of Spain, particularly in Orense and Burgos where three people died.
A falling wall in Orense claimed the life of an 82 year woman while in Burgos, two people died after hitting a tree which had been uprooted by the high winds.
The storm, nicknamed ‘the perfect storm’, caused widespread damage to roads, roofs, fences and trees.
