Bottom club Xerez got their first away win ever in the top division at La Rosaleda by beating the Blue and Whites 2-4.
Momo put the visitors ahead with a penalty but the goals from Duda and Valdo changed things around and Málaga were suddenly in the driving seat.
Momo then struck again, following through after his second penalty of the match was saved and then Gioda and Orellano added two more to seal an historic victory for the visitors.
