Today sees the start of clean-up and repair operations for thirty-seven beaches in Andalucia as part of the Emergency Plan agreed between the Central Government and the Junta de Andalucia.
The beaches most affected by the recent storms are in Huelva, Cádiz and Málaga and the machines are already in place and set to begin work at Matalascañas beach in Huelva and on the promenade in Levante.
The first batch of repairs are expected to cost in the region of €80 million with the total cost infrastructure now estimated to be €205 million.
The whole exercise is aimed at getting all the beaches in fine order for the upcoming Easter holiday.
