A fire during the early hours of Tuesday morning at a residential home in Los LLanos, Ojén, resulted in eleven people having to be evacuated from their homes and two people being admitted to hospital.
A heater on the first floor is thought to have been the cause of the fire. One person was treated at the local Health Centre and two others were admitted to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. The two injured who remain in hospital are said to be in a stable condition.
The home is a residential facility for the elderly and disabled. The remaining residents have been moved to temporary accommodation in Málaga, Pizarra and Casarabonela.
