One man died and another was injured on Thursday when a crane came in contact with electrical cables in Linares, Jaén.
The incident occurred just before noon on the road between Linares and Jabalquinto, the crane coming into contact with high-tension cables of the rail network.
One man died and a second was seriously imjured and is now in the Hospital Virgen del Rocío in Sevilla. Power to the rail network was also cut by the incident, affecting the Madrid-Jaén line. Passengers on this route had to complete their journey by bus.
