If all goes according to plan, the people of Archidona should see the completion of two major projects during the summer, these being the upgrading of the football ground and a new feria ground.
Work on reshaping the football facilities has already begun and the anticipated completion time is the standard four and a half months.
This project is costing €950,000 plus €55,460 already spent to produce the draft project and security plan. The new football field will be artificial turf and will be capable of hosting international events. There will be seating for 925 people.
It is currently hoped that a new feria ground will be ready in time for the annual celebrations in August.
