The Council has announced a project to build a new park along the banks of the Rio Chillar near the Camino de la Fábrica.
The new park will cover an area of 2,000 square metres and will complete the development of the left bank of the Rio Chillar and is to serve as a link between the town, the river walk and El Playazo beach, accessible on foot or by bicycle.
The idea is a sort of ‘green island’ with fountain and, as it is an area frequented by many people walking their dogs, an animal loo. At last!
The project, financed under the FEELS, is set to cost €48,000 and the contract will be awarded to a local company.
