The Junta de Andalucia is investing €411,218 to improve the water treatment plant and collection network in Comares.
The project involves the building of a pumping station to collect residual waters from the upper areas of the town and pump it to the sanitation network which connects with the sewage plant.
Around 1,600 people will benefit from the project and it is intended to help Comares comply with the Water Framework Directive.
