The Spanish rail network is virtually back to normal after Wednesday’s strike called by the CGT Union with just a few overnight sleeper trains being delayed by a couple of hours.
According to RENFE, around 2% of workers answered the strike call. According to the CGT the figure was 80%. Situation normal.
Of the 5,000 scheduled trains, around 2,000 were cancelled.
AVE train workers are intending to carry out further strikes from April 11th to June 30th, with stoppages of two to four hours every day except Saturday.
