Barcelona’s chances of retaining the Champions League title took a knock last night after they lost 3-1 to Inter Milan in the first leg of their semi-final match.
Barcelona dominated the first half, passing the ball endlessly in a great show of flowing football but only managed to score one goal courtesy of Pedro in the twentieth minute. The lead didn’t last too long as Sneijder grabbed an equaliser.
In the second half, Barcelona looked a different team. Maicon put Inter ahead just three minutes into the second half and Milito headed in the third.
It’s not over yet, Barcelona just need a 2-0 win in the second leg, the same scoreline as in the corresponding match in the group stage.
