Torrox now has a new public library, the third in the municipality, follwing the inauguration on Friday of the new facility located in the multi-purpose centre in Torrox Costa.
The new library, named after the Alicante poet Miguel Hernández, is on the first floor of the multi-purpose building and covers 600 square metres. The building also houses the Tourist Office , municipal offices and will, in the future, house the shared Nerja-Torrox TDT centre.
The library currently has around 5,000 volumes.
Torrox now has three libraries; the new one, one in plaza de la Constitución in Torrox Pueblo with 12,000 books and one in El Morche.
