Residents and businesses in Chiclana whose constructions are in non-urban areas, namely illegally constructed, can now begin the process of regularisation of these properties by applying for connection to the water, electric and sewage networks.
An agreement between the Public Prosecutor, the Junta de Andalucia and Chiclana Council will see the legalisation of around 15,000 homes and businesses in the area and will see an end to the demolition of illegal dwellings.
The move will also benefit the local construction industry and provide much wanted work. Anyone wishing to benefit from this agreement should contact the Municipal Planning Department.
