Real Madrid leave it until the last minute

It’s still all to play for in La Liga, but only just, after Real Madrid twice had to come from behind against Osasuna and only managed to snatch victory in the final minute.

Osasuna took an unexpected lead after only five minutes, Aranda latching onto a bad back pass by Albiol and popping the ball in the net. Ronaldo equalised midway through the half but Vadócz put Osasuna back in front with a cracking shot.

Marcelo equalised things once more just before the break, heading home a Granero cross. The second half saw chances for both teams and Osasuna should have gone in front once more through Masoud, but he slipped at a vital moment and the chance was gone.

With just a minute left to play, Cristiano Ronaldo headed the ball into the net for his second of the night to snatch victory for Real and, more importantly, keep their title ambitions alive.

CD Nerja slumped to a 0-1 defeat against Real Jaén B in the Primera Andaluza Grupo 3 and slipped to eleventh in the table.

Alhaurin de la Torre put five past Malaka C.F. to remain five points clear at the top of the table. Second placed Martos CD were 2-4 winners at La Puerta.
