The San Isidro festivities have already begun for the senior citizens of the municipality, around 500 attending the traditional meal on Burriana beach. Paella was, of course, the order of the day. The mayor, José Alberto Armijo, was in attendance and stressed that whatever ‘adjustments’ have to be made in other departments because of the financial situation, this would not happen in Social Services and such events, particular for seniors, would continue because ‘they deserve it’.
