The cost of the new Health Centre in Alhaurín el Grande has risen by 19% following a recent amendment to the project and the final cost is expected to be around €3.8 million.
However, as the original pre-contract guestimate for the project was €4.8 million, the Council is viewing this as a saving of €1 million. Interesting concept.
According to the project architect, Alfonso Martín, the works are now in the final stages with just the electrical and plumbing installation, flooring, painting and tiling still to be done. He expects the building to be finished in July and in use by September of this year.
The new facility includes units for outpatient treatment, radiology, dentistry and therapy.
