Il Bambino on avenida Castilla Perez has reopened with Henry and Carol (they used to do the barbies at Potter’s Bar) at the helm. You can even watch the World Cup there should you so desire. The menu is American-Italian, New York style. Had some ribs with a really superb barbecue sauce, you should definitely check it out.
Rumours abound that one of the brothers from El Cangrejo has done a midnight runner, forcing the bar to close. Have still to check that one out yet. Would be a pity as it is (was) a great tapas bar, one of the best.
The playthings are being ejected from the various perambulators almost on a daily basis at the moment as the battle for control of the Nerja Caves Foundation hots up, the winner getting the Caves and the Museum, the loser getting….
The Council has been miffed ever since it stopped getting its 10% of revenues and both the Caves and the Museum have become very much a party political football. The knives certainly seem to be out for the caves manager, Ángel Ramirez.
