Two women have died in the past few days, allegedly at the hands of their partners, bringing the total number of domestic fatalities since January to twenty-nine.
The latest incidents occurred in Salt (Gerona) and Pruna (Sevilla) and in both cases the attackers surrendered themselves to the authorities after the murders. Also, in neither case was there a history of complaints for abuse or violence.
Eight people have so far died in Andalucia this year as a result of domestic violence, four have died in Cataluña, three in each of the regions of Madrid, Asturias, Castilla y León and Valencia, two in the Canary Islands and one in each of the regions of Baleares, Aragon and Murcia.
