A fire early this morning in a seven-storey apartment block in El Zapillo, Almeria, forced the evacuation of the residents with three having to be rescued from a sixth floor balcony.
The fire began in a sixth floor apartment at 05:30 this morning, waking the neighbours. Three people in the adjoining apartment had to be rescued from their balcony and the rest of the building was evacuated.
An investigation is under way to try and determine the cause of the blaze.
