A woman is in critical condition in Marbella after allegedly being attacked by her partner.
The woman, aged 49 years, was admitted to hospital with serious head wounds and doctors activated protocols for a possible case of abuse.
Her partner, aged 50 years, was examined by doctors who found injuries on his face consistent with scratches. He was taken into custody.
The woman is in the ICU of the Carlos Haya hospital in Málaga and is connected to a mechanical ventilator.
