A new heliport has been inaugurated in Algeciras which see the journey time between Algeciras and the Spanish enclave of Ceuta cut to seven minutes.
The facility, which cost €7 million, will begin operating on Monday July 5th between 09:00 and 18:00 with 41 flights per week. The heliport is being operated by the company Inear, who have fourteen years of experience running helicopter services to Ceuta.
The helicopter being used at the new heliport is the Augusta AW139, a modern fifteen-seater craft. The price of the flight will be €50 for a single, €80 for a return trip. The prices are exclusive taxes.
