The Nerja History Museum is now officially part of the Andalucian Musem Network, opening up the possibility of various grants and financial aid. Just needs to be finished now!
The Cultural delegate, Manuel García, and the manager of the Nerja Caves Foundation, Ángel Ramírez, stressed the importance of achieving this status after a long and complex process.
The museum should be eligible for financial aid in 2011 and Ramirez is also looking at the possibility of funding under the Plan for Sustainable Tourism.
Ramirez also took the opportunity to describe the PP member Antonio Garrido as a ‘cretin’, a response to a remark by Garrido a few weeks ago labelling Ramirez ‘functionally illiterate’ when Garrido announced that the request for inclusion of the Nerja Museum in the Museum Network had been rejected by the Junta de Andalucia.
