The Court of Instruction Number 9 in Málaga has handed out indictments to five National Police officers for alleged crimes of sexual abuse inside the Foreigners Centre (CIE) in Capuchinos.
Five other officers will not be indicted as their activities are not considered criminal conduct sufficiently worthy of reproach.
The case relates to incidents in June and July 2006 when two officers organised parties with illegal immigrants which involved alcoholic drinks, eating, dancing and having sex.
The officers also gave preferential treatment to the immigrants involved, allowing them to use their mobiles and providing them with gifts, such as perfumes, cigarettes or other goodies.
