August 6th to August 8th is the very first ‘Mercado Marinero’ in Nerja, being held in the Plaza de España (formerly the Paseo Nuevo) behind the town hall.
On Friday August 6th, the scheduled start was 19:00, although as the church bells chimed there were still quite a few stalls still being set up or covered over.
However, it wasn’t many minutes before the curious began arriving in the square, many straight from the beach, and things started to get going.
There are all kinds of stalls: handicrafts, foods of all descriptions, herbs, potions, art, sweets, jewellery and several bars and eateries serving a wide variety of dishes.
On Saturday and Sunday, there are numerous activities planned from 11:00 to 14:30 and from 19:00 to 01:00, including parades, workshops and all manner of entertainment…PHOTOS…
