Spain’s Dani Pedrosa claimed his third win of the season with victory in the Indianapolis MotoGP.
Pedrosa, who fell while leading at the Brickyard 12 months ago, started in fifth place on the grid but by lap four he was up to second place.
He then got ahead of home favourite Ben Spies on lap eight before gradually extending his lead, finishing the race a comfortable 3.575 seconds clear of Spies, who earned his best-ever finish.
Championship leader Jorge Lorenzo back in third, his worst result of the season although he still leads the standings by 68 points from Pedrosa.
